New Year, New Projects
Wow! Hard to believe it is already 2010. There have been some exciting things happening over the past month! I recently had an interview with “Cowboys and Indians Magazine”, Discussing my “Remnants of the American frontier” series. The article will appear in the April issue.
I have yet to mention this before, but when I need to take a break from the visual side of art, I turn to the audio side. Over the past few years I have been working on somewhat of a “music project”. I feel the tracks are nearing the first stage of completion and over the course of the year I am planning to add a “music” section to the blog.
Lastly, “The Painted Horse ”Another from the Remnants series. I think the second(ish) piece I did for the series.

This piece is is the sequel to “A Jawbone In Return”. It could be the prequel. I just don’t know. Same style as the Jawbone piece, Just with feathers. Expect to see a longhorn in the near future.

Hard to believe that it is already December! Here is another image from the “Remnants” series. I feel that this is one of the pieces that I really nailed the digital/traditional hybrid style that I had be trying to achieve. There was a lot of the printing/painting/scanning/printing/painting/scanning going on while creating this piece. I am rather happy with it.
Oh, I am currently researching canvas printing options, I should have a few pieces for sale soon! Anybody Intrested?

Ok. Another Piece for the “Remnants” collection. I have always thought this piece could work well as a poster or book cover. It just seems to have that kind of feel about it. It was not what I had originally planned to do either. This does happen from time to time.

This one was a ton of fun to make! I was going for a “skull and crossbones” for the state of Texas. I included ton of detail and texture in this one. The final print size is 24″ x 24″.
